Faction Reputation
There are several factions in the game: Federation, Klingon, Romulan, Independent, Augment, Outlaw, Bajoran, Ex-Borg, Section 31, Terran, and DTI. One has a reputation with each (except Independent), which determines faction daily goals, and whether one's ships are attacked in faction systems. Reputation points determine level, according to these charts:
In Factions like the Federation, Romulan, and Klingon, your reputation can decrease or increase depending on specific actions in the game (choosing the wrong side in a mission, killing your faction's ships in their space, etc.)
In these factions, there are four reputation locks at 10 Million points , 1 Billion points, 15 Billion points and 500 Billion points. Once you reach a Reputation Lock, your reputation will not go below that Lock. This provides a unique advantage when you want to increase your reputation in other Factions.
Gaining Faction Reputation, for all Factions is a commonly asked question. It is possible, though requires a lot of balancing work.
Augments, Outlaw, Bajoran, Ex-Borg, Section 31 Terran, and DTI Reputation behave differently. They do not have Faction Locks and your Reputation cannot be lowered. Read more at Scopely Helpshift

You can unlock the Terran Faction by reaching Ops 40 and either claiming the launch day bundle in the Gifts section or completing the mission "Let the Games Begin" (Holodeck).

Ex-Borg Reputation[]
The Ex-Borg Faction is positive-only, meaning it's impossible to lose reputation depending on your actions. To unlock the Faction, all you have to do is be Ops level 38 and complete the mission “We are people too” to receive your first Ex-Borg Reputation points.
The Ex-Borg Faction will bring two daily goals, “Freebooter Hunt” and “Freebooter Dominance”, requiring killing 2 and 6 Freebooter hostiles respectively. Freebooters will be hard to destroy, so Commanders will have to get creative! Ex-Borg credits can be earned from both daily goals, but reputation will only be provided by the “Freebooter Hunt”.
Section 31 Reputation[]
The Section 31 faction store has six different reputation ranks and provide exclusive rewards. Earn Section 31 faction reputation by participating in the Wave Defense game mode. You can use your reputation to unlock rewards in the S31 Faction store.
Department of Temporal Investigation (DTI)[]
DTI Faction Benefits Reputation Control: Earn Encrypted Intelligence from battling Krenim enemies. You can then spend this resource in the DTI store to boost Federation, Klingon, or Romulan (FKR) reputation. see also: DTI Building

New Updates to Reputation Levels
- Kill hostiles of the other factions to gain reputation for your preferred faction.
- Complete daily goals
- Complete missions
- Spend resources in the daily Faction Reputation Events
- Defeating Armadas a way to gain faction rep without losing any.
- Spending charged nanoprobes in the event store.
If you kill a Federation ship, your Romulan rep will go up a lot, your Klingon rep will go up about half as much, and your Federation rep will go down.

- Higher-level ships provide more reputation than lower-level ships.
- Survey ships will get you more reputation than warships.
